🎨 Workshop: The Transformation Lab! (Ages 5–12) Do you have a pile of "junk" at home? We call it an artist’s treasure chest! In this hands-on, high-energy workshop, kids will dive into a world of creativity to transform everyday leftover materials into one-of-a-kind art masterpieces. Whether they are budding sculptors or future mixed-media artists, this workshop is all about turning the ordinary into the extraordinary! What’s in Store? We are bringing an eclectic mix of materials—colorful papers, soft yarn, rustic sticks, fuzzy pom-poms, sparkling beads, and so much more! • The Sensory Discovery Lab: We start by exploring our materials with our hands. We’ll learn about different textures—from the rough, earthy feel of sticks to the soft, squishy joy of pom-poms and the smooth, cool touch of beads. Kids will discover how these textures can change the look and "personality" of their creations. • The Transformation Station: Kids will learn simple, age-appropriate techniques to join, weave, glue, and layer their materials. They’ll see how a simple stick and some yarn can become a woven wall hanging, or how paper and beads can be transformed into a wild, futuristic sculpture. • The Masterpiece Gallery: With no instructions on "what it should look like," every child is the boss of their own creation. Whether they build a whimsical creature, an abstract textured canvas, or a mysterious charm, the goal is to celebrate their unique imagination. Workshop Details • Ages: 5–12 years old (Activities are tailored to support different developmental levels). • What to bring: Just your imagination and a willingness to get creative! • Note to Parents: We will be using glue, tape, and lots of fun crafting bits, so we recommend wearing clothes that are ready for a little artistic adventure!
